Solutions Using Google Apps

• Data Teams [Sheets] - Teachers add pre- and post-test grades to their homeroom tab for each unit of study. The spreadsheet's additional tabs provide an automatic filter to show students in four grade bands, track consistently underperforming students to identify opportunities for extra instructional support.

• Curriculum Portal [Docs, Calendars, and Sites] - Curricular units are created in Google Docs, then embedded in specific pages of a Google site. Pacing charts are also embedded in the site to help keep teachers on their annual schedule. 

• School Event Registration and Scheduling [Forms and Sheets] - Using Google Forms and functions within the responses spreadsheets, you can reduce the time spent on student registration of events such as track and field sign-ups, science expos, field trip volunteers, literacy tracking, and more.

• Neighborhood Map Overlay [Fusion Tables and Sites] - Using the data from your own student information system (Infinite Campus, PowerSchool, etc.) you can identify educational trends or needs such as low reading scores in an area not normally addressed with additional funds or support. A visual representation of this information is generated for you.
